According to police, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives-laden vest near a van carrying Japanese workers in the Pakistani port city of Karachi. The Japanese citizens escaped unharmed but officials said three passers-by were injured.
The three passers-by wounded by the explosion were taken to the hospital, where one later died.
