Official Website of the Slovenian President Targeted by a Cyber Attack

The official website of the President of the Republic of Slovenia was attacked, causing a temporary disruption of services, but without compromising sensitive data. The inconvenience was caused by a DDoS attack, which overloaded the server. The SI-CERT (National Cyber Security Response Center) reported that it had carried out a preventive block of malicious traffic. The attack seems to be linked to Slovenia’s support for Ukraine and its participation in the Czech Republic’s initiative to purchase artillery ammunition. It is presumed that the attack was carried out by the Russian hacker group Cyber Army Russia Reborn, but at the moment there are no certain confirmations.
