According to The Africa CDC’s Weekly Event-Based Surveillance Report, the NCDC reported 350 new cases (229 confirmed; 111 suspected) and five new deaths of diphtheria (CFR: 2,1%). Cumulatively, 5160 cases (2700 confirmed; 2460 suspected) and 53 deaths (CFR: 1,9%) of diphtheria have been reported from 13 of 36 states.
