What happened

According to The Africa CDC’s Weekly Event-Based Surveillance Report, the Ministry of Health (MoH) reported 593 new cases and 15 new deaths of monkeypox (CFR: 2,5%). Cumulatively, 4488 cases (319 confirmed; 4169 suspected) and 279 deaths (CFR: 6,7%) of mpox have been reported from 23 of the 26 provinces in DRC.
