What happened

According to The Africa CDC’s Weekly Event-Based Surveillance Report, the Zambia National Public Health Institute reported 866 cases (10 confirmed; 856 suspected) and 24 new deaths (CFR: 2,8%) of Cholera from 61 districts. This is a 50% decrease in the number of new cases compared to the same period last year. Cumulatively, 15646 (851 confirmed; 14795 suspected) and 537 deaths (CFR: 3.4%) of cholera were reported from 70 of 116 districts in the country.
