After years of trying to reduce its dependence on nuclear energy, France is betting big on the sector to help reach its climate goals. In fact, the French government has allocated 1 billion euros as part of the France 2030 plan to support nuclear projects and startups developing small-scale nuclear reactor technology. As part of the country’s current energy policy, the French government has already selected eight start-ups that will receive EUR 102.1 million in funding.
