Twelve persons have been killed in a fresh Boko Haram attack on Gartamawa community in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State. There were various attacks which also resulted in two injuries. Although no additional details of the attack were provided, reports from residents indicate that the terrorists invaded the community armed with rifles and began shooting at mourners on their way back from Gatamarwa. Over the past two years, Islamic militants have carried out numerous attacks in these areas as part of the 14-year-long conflict.
