Yemen: Roadside IED blast in Abyan province

According to military sources, two Yemeni government forces officers were killed by the explosion of a roadside IED in the southern province of Abyan. The explosion occurred when the military vehicle carrying the officers and soldiers was crossing a valley in eastern Abyan. The vehicle was hit by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) that had been placed earlier on the road, killing two officers from the Army’s 6th Brigade and injuring nine others.
