Two cases of Mycoplasma pneumoniae in children hospitalized with respiratory symptoms were reported in Italy by the RespiVirNet Surveillance Bulletins of the Higher Institute of Health. Several outbreaks have already been recorded in China, where the bacterium was initially reported, and in France.
