What happened

Morocco has initiated a probe into the four explosions that occurred at three locations in Es-Semara, located in southern Morocco, following the fatality of one individual and injuries sustained by three others.

The prosecutor has appointed a specialized team of experts to conduct essential technical and ballistic investigations aimed at determining the origin and characteristics of the explosive projectiles responsible for causing the fatality and injuring three individuals. Among the injured, two individuals are in critical condition with severe injuries, while the third victim has been discharged following the necessary medical treatment.

The Polisario Front, a separatist movement in Moroccan-controlled Western Sahara, has claimed responsibility for the explosions.
