MECAWARE is currently focusing on the recycling of end-of-life batteries and production waste from battery manufacturing plants. It will be operational in 2025. This facility will produce 50 tons of recycled metal per year, specifically lithium, nickel, cobalt and manganese.
This technology is based on breakthrough innovations in dynamic combinatorial chemistry by exploiting the synergy caused by CO2 capture and recycling of critical metals. The economic and ecological value of MECAWARE is particularly interesting as its eco²-efficiency adapts to raw materials and the evolution of battery technology.
