France has vetoed the acquisition of nuclear parts suppliers Segault and Velan SAS by American group Flowserve. In fact, the Ministry of Economy showed strategic concerns in vetoing the acquisition of the French Segault by the American industrial machinery giant Flowserve.
The small Segault company supplies components for nuclear-powered submarines built by state shipbuilder Naval Group and makes industrial valves used on the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. Velan SAS supplies components for French Nuclear Power Plants.
