What happened

An improvised explosive device (IED) launched by militants detonated at the Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) work site on the outskirts of Kalat. The explosion resulted in the death of one employee and injury to a second. According to statements issued by armed forces officials, the explosion occurred in the Sheikhri area, in close proximity to the PPL workplace. The IED was placed on site and detonated while work was underway.
