Indigenous dengue cases in Bourg-lès-Valence have been confirmed. The French public health department is mobilising to ensure that tiger mosquitoes in the area do not transmit the disease to other people. Entomological surveys and various disinfestations are carried out to remove tiger mosquitoes from the area. An epidemiological survey was then carried out among the residents of the affected area with the aim of detecting possible further contamination and informing the public about the symptoms of dengue fever. Symptoms are: sudden high fever, headaches, muscle pains and rashes.
