Rosatom Company is working to improve the quality of life for Russians. There is a strong desire to develop domestic technologies for the production of radiopharmaceuticals, on which clinical and pre-clinical studies are being conducted. The centralisation of production and the location of the new plant will reduce the cost of radiopharmaceuticals and ensure rapid supply to doctors in the country and elsewhere. Rosatom said that a wide range of radiopharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients will be produced. Radiopharmaceuticals can be used to diagnose and treat patients with a wide variety of cancers and other diseases. The plant is expected to be operational in 2024.
