What happened

The Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) has initiated a public consultation regarding the potential inclusion of four substances into the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China (IECSC). This consultation period commenced on October 10, 2023, and will remain open for public input until October 23, 2023.

These substances encompass information such as their chemical names in both Chinese and English, CAS numbers or Series numbers, molecular formulas, and more. Notably, these substances were either manufactured within or imported into China prior to October 15, 2003. They meet the criteria for supplementation but missed the previous supplementation window. Consequently, they are expected to be categorized as existing chemical substances in China.
