Fire that broke out in a plastics warehouse has spread to a nearby building where chemicals were stored, releasing toxic fumes that could pose ecological risks, and is spreading across the region due to strong winds that have begun to blow. Residents have been asked to stay indoors and keep their windows closed, and schools have been closed. The Croatian governor has accused the company Drava International, owner of the warehouse where the fire broke out, of negligence and violation of the law.
