Fears of a repeat of last year’s low nuclear availability in France have eased over the winter and energy demand is expected to remain subdued, driving forward French electricity prices further towards more stable German levels.
The drop in prices is directly linked to increased confidence in nuclear availability, as the market has seen a decent boost in recent weeks, thanks also to the repair of some reactors damaged by stress corrosion cracking.
