According to local authorities, fourteen Kenyan soldiers sustained injuries when their military vehicle struck an improvised explosive device (IED) along the Baure-Drum major supply route in Lamu County. The soldiers were on a routine patrol mission when their Kenya Army technical vehicle was struck by the concealed IED.
