What happened

A research showed that exposure to particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide increases the risk of lung cancer and that 4% of the new cases in the area and that 3% of new cases of asthma in children could result from the plant’s emissions. In response to public concern, the Tata Steel mill promises to reduce emissions by the end of the year, despite the fact that its emissions currently meet legal limits.
