An explosion occurred at a North Sinai air defense base, resulting in the tragic deaths of 7 Egyptian soldiers. The exact cause of the explosion remains undetermined at this time, and both military and medical sources have expressed uncertainty regarding whether it was an act of terrorism or a technical malfunction.
The casualties included 3 officers, namely Air Defence Majors Abdel-Rahman Mahmoud Al-Zuhri Rabie and Diya Alaa El-Din Saad, as well as Air Defence Lieutenant Colonel Hisham Darbaz. Additionally, Air Defence recruits Hilmi Younis, Mahmoud Al-Fishawi, Saber Eid, and Nour Al-Sanhouri lost their lives in the incident.
