A new Coronavirus wave due to the emergence of the new Pirola variant

The Pirola strain, scientifically known as BA.2.86, is causing growing concern among health experts. This new subvariant of Omicron is believed to have up to 36 mutations and could potentially become the dominant strain. Currently, the number of people who have tested positive for coronavirus has doubled since the beginning of August.
