The Israeli Air Force received its new Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle, Spark. The new UAV, now part of the 144th Squadron, was developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Aeronautics as part of the “Storm Cloud” project. Official sources have described the Spark as a new capability for the larger UAV array, which serves as the gateway to the fifth generation of the array in the IDF. However, few details have been released to the public about the new UAV. The Israeli Air Force has announced that the new drone will enhance the operational troops’ offensive and defensive capabilities by providing them with accurate data. The drone will perform a range of missions, including intelligence gathering, ground force escort, and attack direction.
