A chlorine gas leak occurred at a hotel spa in Taitung’s Zhihben hot spring area. Thirteen people, including four adults and nine children, felt unwell due to the leak. They experienced symptoms like shortness of breath, dizziness, coughing, and vomiting.
An observer at the scene noticed a white smoke cloud and a strong smell, indicating a chlorine gas leak. This caused concern among pool area guests. Chlorine gas, often used to sanitize pools, becomes dangerous when concentrated.
