England, France and Sweden each report a new case of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). Particularly, an outbreak occurred in the Pas-de-Calais, a department in the northern region of Hauts-de-France, involving poultry and confirmed by the Ministry of Agriculture. This brings to 400 the total number of outbreaks among poultry flocks on the French mainland since August last year.
Since the beginning of this year, 375 outbreaks of HPAI have been confirmed in poultry across 20 European Union (EU) Member States and neighbouring countries, according to an overview of HPAI in European poultry.
