What happened

A gas explosion occurred in a street-front shop at Hongqi Street in Anping County, Hebei Province, north China. According to local authorities, the incident resulted in two fatalities and left two others seriously injured. Preliminary investigations suggest that the gas explosion was triggered by the rupture of a natural gas pipeline during pipeline renovation work.
