Transmashholding has been chosen as the provider of engines for Egypt’s El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant

According to Kirill Lipa, the CEO of Transmashholding (TMH), a significant Russian locomotive and passenger train manufacturer, TMH will be providing engines for the nuclear power plant currently being constructed in El Dabaa, Egypt. This move comes as TMH strengthens its collaboration with the Russian state nuclear corporation, Rosatom, in Africa, following a memorandum signed in 2022. Under this agreement, Rosatom will not only be responsible for constructing the plant but also for supplying Russian nuclear fuel throughout its operational period.
