What happened

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) Tactical Technology Office has granted Northrop Grumman Corporation a contract to create an autonomous uncrewed aircraft system with vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities. The objective is to design an aircraft that can operate from a mobile Navy vessel while at sea.
