What happened

An assessment was conducted by the US Air Force on an MQ-9A Reaper drone, testing the Angry Kitten ALQ-167 Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) Pod.
Equipped with machine-learning software, the pod selects the most effective jamming technique with options and can autonomously make corrections. Currently in use by certain US Air Force adversary air squadrons, the pod underwent compatibility testing with an F-16 in 2021 to evaluate its integration with aircraft systems like the Fire Control Radar.
