First ECRS Mk2 radar for integration on the Typhoon

Leonard has delivered to BAE Systems the prototype of the radar ECRS Mk2 (European Common Radar System Mk2) to integrate it into the Typhoon. The ECRS Mk2 is equipped with a newly developed multi-functional array-MFA (multi-functional array) antenna, capable of overseeing traditional radar functions and electronic warfare tasks. This means that the Eurofighter Typhoon will be able to locate and neutralize enemy radars, thanks to a powerful electronic noise, remaining out of the reach of the threat.
