An explosive device went off at the Siniyan creek south division in the municipality of Koboko. The rusty explosive device was found in the river, some children took it to play with and on this occasion it exploded. The blast killed one child and injured five others.
Unfortunately, this is not the first explosive incident in this area. In February 2021, a bomb explosion in Adjumani District killed six children and injured five others at Maji ll Refugee Settlement after they had gone to the bush on a playing spree.
