An 18-year-old was seriously injured in the right hand, including losing his fingers, while another 19-year-old was injured in the stomach following the explosion of a grenade in a car repair shop in Kelo, Chad.
According to testimonies collected from the wounded at the Kelo health district hospital, the explosive device was brought by a child who picked it up not far from the car park. His older brothers tried to defuse it and it exploded, enjuring the two young brothers in the limbs and stomach.
