During 2022, the Almaraz Nuclear Power Plant in Cáceres, Spain, generated a brute production of 16.682 billion kilowatts per hour. Unit 1 produced 8,766 GWh and unit 2 a total of 7,916 GWh. This is a contribution of over 6.5% of the electric energy consumed in Spain.
Thanks to the work and commitment of almost a thousand professionals carring out their activities on site, the Almaraz NPP shall be considered as a key infrastructure, safe and reliable as well as a global reference with cutting-edge technology, and able to ensure an essential service like electric energy for the whole country.
