Westinghouse Electric Company and Ansaldo Nucleare have signed a new cooperation agreement to develop a next generation Nuclear Power Plant based on Lead-cooled Fast Reactor (LFR) technology. The agreement includes the development of a joint project to maximise expertise in design and testing by aligning the respective partner organisations and supply chain.
The two companies declared that they are pursuing performance improvement, economic growth and greater sustainability, thanks to development of activities already underway in the UK, the US, Italy, and Romania, where more than ten state-of-the-art test facilities have been installed.
