Dutch health authorities have reported 108 cases of measles, the latest of which were identified in four elementary schools across various districts of Amsterdam. According to the Dutch National Institute for Public Health, at least 17 cases of measles have been reported since the beginning of this year, subsequent to exposure to the virus in Morocco. Furthermore, three confirmed cases of measles in the Netherlands were found to have been imported from Romania, where the disease is currently spreading. Similar trends have been observed in France, where measles cases have been traced back to Morocco. The Moroccan Ministry of Health reports that the country has experienced more than 6,300 confirmed cases and 120 deaths attributed to the virus.
