NAF operation against ISWAP

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has killed scores of fighters of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) and destroyed a factory used in making Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) in the Tumbums in the North East of Lake Chad. The onslaught attack which was coordinated by Maj Gen Ibrahim Ali,  the Theatre Commander, North East Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai, was carried out by fighter jets on Wednesday at Tumbun Bakkassi, one of the identified locations used for fabrication of all forms of bombs. Intelligence has unraveled that ISWAP has prepared and positioned highly volatile SVBIEDs with the apparent intention of deploying them at troops location in Arege in Abadam Local Government Area.
