According to reports from ANSA, an estimated 1500 liters of fuel were inadvertently released into the port basin of Porto Marghera, Venice, Italy. This incident took place during the refueling of a vessel with fuel oil at the docking area. In response, the operations room staff initiated the established local Emergency Plan for addressing marine pollution caused by hydrocarbons and other hazardous materials and notified the specialized division of the Venice Coast Guard.
