Rome, bomb scare over suspicious suitcase

A bomb threat has been initiated in a central Roman street due to an unattended suitcase left before a commercial establishment by a young male who subsequently departed the area. Law enforcement officials, notified by a civilian, have commenced an inquiry into the matter with the assistance of the bomb disposal unit (Italian: Artificieri). The affected zone has been temporarily restricted to vehicular and pedestrian transit to facilitate necessary safety procedures.
