The most recent survey, conducted by the Italian Ministry of Health and detailed in the report ‘Vaccination coverage in pediatric and adolescent age’ on data relating to the year 2023, has revealed a decline in the recommended vaccination coverage in the early years of life in the Marche region, placing it below the Italian average. Specifically, the ANSA source reports coverage for polio and measles in the cohort of children born in 2021 at 92.82% and 91.98%, respectively, compared to an Italian average of 94.76% and 94.64%. With regard to diphtheria, the region’s percentage stands at 92.84%, falling short of the Italian average of 94.76%. The figure is consistent for tetanus, which is registered at 92.84%, aligning with the Italian average. Similarly, the percentage for whooping cough is 92.84%, and for rubella, it is 92.01%. The figure for chickenpox is recorded at 90.73% (Italian average 93.76%); meningococcus C 83.75% (Italian average 83.76%); pneumococcus 88.71% (Italian average 91.57%); meningococcus B 76.21% (Italian average 79.76%).
