What happened

A vehicular incident involving a commercial truck and a tanker transporting Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) transpired on the A4 motorway between San Stino and Cessalto, within the province of Treviso, Italy. This collision resulted in the discharge of the LPG cargo from the tanker. As a precautionary measure, the motorway concessionaire suspended vehicular traffic in both directions due to the spillage of the highly flammable substance. The Fire Brigade, along with motorway personnel, law enforcement, and the CBRN unit of Mestre (specializing in Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, and Radiological hazards), were dispatched to the location to secure the affected area. Traffic police are currently conducting an investigation at the site to ascertain the sequence of events leading to the collision. The incident did not result in any personal injuries, fires, or explosions. The fuel was safely discharged from the tanker, preventing further complications. Subsequent to the completion of safety operations, the affected section of the motorway was reopened for public transit.
