As stated in a comprehensive report issued by the Pakistani Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), an American-manufactured hand grenade was launched at the primary entrance of the Karachi Police Station. This incident resulted in minor injuries to three law enforcement officers and superficial damage to the building’s facade, as well as to two adjacent vehicles. Approximately twenty grenade fragments were recovered from the site of the incident for subsequent forensic examination by specialists, who arrived with the anti-terrorism unit. Official sources indicate that a formal case has been registered by anti-terrorism legislation, attempted murder statutes, and explosives regulations as defined by the Pakistani Constitution. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Azad Raza has stated that the individuals responsible for the attack are potentially affiliated with either the Baloch Liberation Front (LBF) or the Lyari gangs (ANI).
