What happened

Naval Air Station (NAS) Sigonella, located in Sicily, was temporarily placed under lockdown due to security concerns. An alert was issued regarding a potential vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED). However, following a thorough investigation, it was determined that no explosive threat was present. This information was officially communicated via the NAS Sigonella Facebook page.
