This surge has led to hospitalisation of thirteen patients due to complications, with all cases affecting unvaccinated individuals, including adults and children. Health officials anticipate a further escalation in infections attributable to the particularly virulent nature of the disease. A similar situation is observed in Georgia, but measles is also rising in other states, especially Alaska, New York City, and Rhode Island.
