7 soldiers of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) were wounded after an improvised explosive device (IED) went off under their convoy.
The roadside IED exploded as the convoy went over it 34 kilometers north of the town of Douentza, Mopti Region. No one claimed responsibility for the attack. There have been six similar roadside bomb attacks this year in central Mali, where jihadists are known to operate, the UN force said.
