Pakistan: 1 dead in terrorist attack in Kalat

One officer was killed and two were wounded during a terrorist attack against a Levies check post in Kalat, Balochistan. Commenting on the attack, Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind said that a search operation is underway to catch the perpetrators, and the injured officers have been sent to Quetta for medical treatment. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack and paid tribute to the killed officer. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also condemned the attack and praised the bravery of the dead officer, who “attained martyrdom in the line of duty.”
