BCIJ operation against suspected ISIS affiliates

Morocco’s Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) arrested 13 ISIS-affiliated suspects in several Moroccan provinces. Arrests were made in several Moroccan cities including Casablanca, Beni Mellal, Mohammedia, Khenifra, Temara, Tiflet, Ksar el Kebir, Rissani, and Berkane. According to a statement from BCIJ, the suspects, whose ages range from 19 to 49, were involved in preparing terrorist attacks against sensitive departments in the country. The ongoing investigation aims to identify possible accomplices and potential regional and international links to terrorist organisations outside Morocco.
