A senior ISIS leader, Commander Khalid ‘Aydd Ahmad al-Jabouri, responsible for planning international terrorist attacks was killed in a U.S. strike in Syria. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that a drone attack killed the Commander while he was walking near his home. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) described the operation as a unilateral attack, stating that al-Jabouri was a planner of attacks in Europe and Turkey and had developed the ISIS leadership structure in Turkey. According to CENTCOM, the attack did not injure or kill any civilians.
