A joint inspection was conducted by military personnel from the provincial command of the Guardia di Finanza of Vicenza and technicians from the Provincial Environmental Protection Agency of Vicenza (ARPAV). The inspection took place at a garage in Marano Vicentino, Italy. A subsequent inspection of the warehouse and the adjacent open area revealed the presence of a substantial quantity of waste, including hazardous waste, such as spray cans, used oil, batteries, oil filters, air filters, abatement system filters, orbital abrasive discs, as well as large metal and plastic parts and components. The material found was found to be illegally stored and was subject to a preventive seizure. Consequently, the establishment owner was formally reported to the Vicenza Judicial Authority for unauthorised waste management by the consolidated legislation on environmental matters.
