A 47-year-old male was apprehended by law enforcement officials after authorities discovered a substantial amount of pyrotechnic material in his private residence in Settimo Milanese, Milan province, Italy. This material included ten rockets and 28 batteries intended for launching tubes. This individual had previously been apprehended on the grounds of possession of a quantity of explosive material amounting to one tonne during the preceding month. A subsequent search of the vehicle in which the man was travelling led to the discovery of additional pyrotechnic material, and a thorough inspection of his residence subsequently revealed the illegal possession of the aforementioned materials. The storage of these articles in a manner that contravened established regulations posed a significant potential security hazard to the entire building and its occupants. To mitigate this risk, law enforcement officials, with the assistance of the Artificers Unit of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office, proceeded to secure the entire building. The 47-year-old suspect was apprehended and formally charged with illicit trade in unrecognised explosive products and wilful failure to report their possession.
