What happened

A major incident was recently reported in Rajasthan, India. A collision between a truck and a tanker vehicle, transporting LPG, along the Jaipur-Ajmer highway, has led to a substantial fire. The incident occurred on the periphery of the state capital, Jaipur. The conflagration that ensued following the collision of the two vehicles encompassed other vehicles and also had an impact on a factory situated along the highway. Specialised equipment was used by the team to extinguish the fire and to create a safe route along the highway. This enabled the prompt transportation of the victims to the nearest medical facility. Initial reports from local media indicate that the incident has resulted in 11 deaths and 40 injuries.
